Cloud, in all its forms, DevOps, Kubernetes and micro-services architectures have made it easier for software developers to do more, for less, faster. Conversely, it has made the task of IT operations infinitely more complex. Legacy on-premises systems will be with us for some time. Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Edge computing are increasing the scope and scale of IT operations for many businesses. Finding and retaining new digital native skills remains challenging , and users and business leaders are more demanding about the performance, availability and security of IT systems.
