Unravelling Microsoft 365’s Complexity: Insights from CXO’s Virtual Roundtable

CXO Portals hosted their fist virtual roundtable alongside CoreView on the 12th September titled: ‘Microsoft 365: At The Junction of Innovation & Risk’.

Thousands of organisations are built around the Microsoft 365 stack, which is growing in complexity every day.  The session was incredibly insightful and thought provoking with participants sharing who are spending an increasing amount of time and investments navigating new ways of working with Microsoft 365. Whilst also discussing why different skills in cloud computing make it challenging for IT teams to ensure operational efficiency, and what they are doing to support end-users who are dispersed geo-locally and often, with very diverse technical acumen.

The session included multiple US organisations spanning Hospitals and Healthcare, Government and Banking sectors and although varying industries attended, their challenges were all very much aligned which made the discussion all the more engaging.

🤯 Challenges:-

1) Admin privileges, enforcing policies, automating manual, repetitive tasks

2) M365 – DR, VDI, EUM

3) Automation being utilised by other organisations

💡 Learning from Peers:-

1) Automate complicated processes to minimise human error

2) Ensure ongoing compliance with both internal and external policies and regulations

3) Monitor security threats by automating remediation
